Hunan TV and Mango TV have officially started filming their new modern romance drama, “The Great Dreamer”! Starring Shen Yue and Wu Hankun, this series promises a heartwarming story with a touch of inspiration. The 24-episode drama also features a talented supporting cast including Fan Shuaiqi, Zeng Kelang, and Yvonne Wang.
“The Great Dreamer” – A Story of Love and Resilience
Based on the novel “Da Meng Xia Ja” by Xing He Fu You, “The Great Dreamer” tells the story of Xia Xia (Shen Yue), an 18-year-old girl who achieves her dream of getting into Nanjing University Law School. However, her path is filled with challenges. Faced with financial difficulties, Xia Xia must hide her struggles from her stepfather and juggle part-time jobs while pursuing her studies.
At university, she crosses paths with Xie Huai (Wu Hankun), a classmate who is also working hard to make ends meet. Initially misunderstanding each other, they eventually become close friends. Xia Xia learns about Xie Huai’s past traumas and helps him rediscover his passion for learning. As they support each other, their friendship blossoms into love. But their newfound happiness is threatened when Xie Huai’s mother needs to seek medical treatment abroad, forcing a separation between the two. Will their love endure?
