Benjamin, to ease tensions with Sasin, decides to help Sasin get the stars he wants. However, Benjamin teases Sasin, making him a bit annoyed. When Sasin goes to the bathroom, he unexpectedly sees Benjamin hugging another woman. This is also witnessed by Pei Xiaonan, who, in anger, throws wine at Benjamin and leaves. Sasin, however, is happy after the misunderstanding is cleared up; it turns out the woman had just dropped her keys, and Benjamin was only returning them to her. Sasin’s opinion of Benjamin changes, and he explains why he is so keen on getting the stars. Benjamin then specially mixes a drink named “Starry Sky” for Sasin, and they enjoy it together.
When Li Zan and Song Ran return to their lodging, they encounter two drunken men. Li Zan instinctively protects Song Ran by pulling her into his embrace, which makes Song Ran blush. They talk about returning to their homeland; Li Zan hopes Song Ran can delay her departure, clearly indicating his feelings for her, wanting to spend more time together. Song Ran is thrilled. After parting with Li Zan, Song Ran happily returns to the hotel, only to find Shen Bei there. Shen Bei admits she’s there to compete with Song Ran for Li Zan’s affection. Song Ran pretends not to care and leaves. Shen Bei notes that Song Ran has grown and matured, and while in her room, she reflects on seeing Li Zan and Song Ran at the hotel entrance, determined to win Li Zan’s heart.
Song Ran and Sasin meet, and Sasin hints that Li Zan might like Song Ran, which leaves her both flustered and overjoyed. At the military camp, Jiang Lin and Li Zan are chatting when Benjamin joins them, and they banter. A soldier reports that a female journalist is looking for Li Zan; thinking it’s Song Ran, they are surprised to find it’s Shen Bei. Shen Bei informs Li Zan that Song Ran’s work term is over and she’s about to return home, and she, Shen Bei, will take over. Benjamin, expecting to see Song Ran, is surprised to see Shen Bei instead.
Song Ran and Sasin visit an orphanage where they see Shen Bei interviewing but getting rejected. Song Ran steps forward to greet her. Sasin notices Shen Bei’s hostility towards Song Ran and does not like her. However, Song Ran is indifferent, even advising Shen Bei how to conduct interviews without being rejected and offering to mediate, but Shen Bei remains hostile. Song Ran then scolds Shen Bei, leaving her speechless. Back at the hotel, Shen Bei packs to return home but decides to stay due to her competitive nature. Meanwhile, Benjamin sees Vina, who is injured and with two children. Vina explains she’s a volunteer and was not bullied. Benjamin takes her to the hospital, where they run into Pei Xiaonan. Recognizing the misunderstanding from that night, Pei Xiaonan greets Benjamin, and they reconcile, with Pei Xiaonan agreeing to Benjamin’s request.
