However, the Demon Lord sees through her intentions and questions how long she plans to keep playing games. While they’re speaking, Mu Xuanling notices her bracelet is missing and urges the Demon Lord to help her search for it. Her real aim is still to get him to touch the water. Before she can execute her plan, Feng Xiang Zunzhe appears, interrupting them. Spotting the Eternal Lotus in Mu Xuanling’s hands, Feng Xiang attacks her.
Mu Xuanling, prepared to endure a hit, thinks to herself that it’s worth it if it serves her purpose. Just as Feng Xiang is about to knock her into the water, the Demon Lord catches Mu Xuanling in his arms. Feng Xiang notices the demonic aura surrounding him and remarks that someone from the Dark Realm has no place here. The Demon Lord retaliates, launching an attack on Feng Xiang, but Mu Xuanling stops him from killing her. In response, the Demon Lord turns day into night, and Qian Guang emerges.
Finally, Qian Guang and Feng Xiang come face-to-face. Mu Xuanling remarks that this was a trap set by the Mirror Deity and questions how they’ll break it. The Demon Lord scoffs, claiming he has killed deities before and isn’t afraid of rewriting his own fate. Mu Xuanling sarcastically comments on the lengths he has gone to ensure Feng Xiang and Qian Guang meet.
The Demon Lord recalls how he once approached Qian Guang Jun, offering to help Feng Xiang escape her repetitive fate. However, the cost was steep: a life for a life. Qian Guang realizes that saving Feng Xiang would require sacrificing his own life. The Demon Lord advises him to consider carefully before making his decision. Before leaving, the Demon Lord tells Mu Xuanling not to think of him as noble, reminding her that everything he does comes with a price.
As the Demon Lord departs, Mu Xuanling calls after him, urging him to wait. Meanwhile, Feng Xiang reflects on the futility of immortality, lamenting that her long-sought eternal life amounts to just one day of memory. She asks Qian Guang how he managed to break the trap. Qian Guang reveals that it came at the cost of his life. He only has one day left and urges Feng Xiang to spend it cherishing the beauty of the mortal world.
Feng Xiang protests, unwilling to trade Qian Guang’s life for her own. Qian Guang admits that his cowardice caused their separation for so long. Feng Xiang shares the blame, acknowledging her own mistakes. She questions why Qian Guang would get involved again after all they’ve been through. Qian Guang explains that he has been by her side for 6,000 years. He recalls finding her at the beginning of her endless loop and confessing his feelings to her every morning, staying with her for millennia.
Hearing this, Feng Xiang realizes the extent of Qian Guang’s pain. He decides to erase her memories of him, unwilling to let her continue living in sorrow. Qian Guang urges Feng Xiang to sleep, promising that when she wakes, she should explore the world and appreciate its wonders, instead of being trapped here. He casts a spell, putting her to sleep, and entrusts Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord to watch over her for the night. With his final words, Qian Guang vanishes.
The next morning, Feng Xiang wakes to find Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord nearby. She questions why they haven’t left. Mu Xuanling is surprised she still remembers them, but Feng Xiang explains that they were the ones who came yesterday to take the Eternal Lotus and even fought her. When Mu Xuanling mentions Qian Guang’s name, Feng Xiang appears confused, saying she doesn’t know him.
Feng Xiang announces her intention to leave the cold, desolate place and departs. Watching her go, Mu Xuanling wonders aloud if she truly forgot everything. The Demon Lord cryptically replies that only he knows whether she forgot or not. However, as Feng Xiang walks away, she thinks to herself that her cultivation is equal to Qian Guang’s, meaning he couldn’t have erased her memories without her consent. She resolves to remember her painful memories, no matter how much they hurt.
Elsewhere, Tianming attempts to awaken Xuanxin’s inner obsession but is unsuccessful, as Xuanxin refuses to be controlled by it. Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord arrive at the Ice Cliff in Yongxue City, only to find it rigged with a deadly formation set by Tianming.
