Ah Zhu watches helplessly as a massive mob of commoners storms the palace. While trying to defend herself, she nearly gets injured, but Tianming arrives in time to shield her. He pulls her to the rooftop and shows her the chaos below, remarking, “This is human nature.” Ah Zhu pleads for his help, but Tianming refuses, stating that divine artifacts cannot intervene in mortal affairs. Determined, Ah Zhu declares she will fight on her own and moves to leave. Tianming stops her, insisting that human nature has already defeated her. Ah Zhu defiantly replies, “I haven’t lost.”
At that moment, Qingyang and Ah Yan arrive at the palace gates, armed and ready to fight. They join the battle, defending against the angry mob. Seeing this, Ah Zhu smiles triumphantly and asks Tianming how to use the Qian Kun Pearl. Tianming opens the pearl, revealing a contract that requires two names to activate its power. Ah Zhu pockets the pearl and rushes into the fray.
Sacrifice Amidst Chaos
As Ah Zhu fights, a sword comes dangerously close to striking her, but Qingyang shields her, taking the blow. Collapsing, Qingyang assures Ah Zhu that this is her repayment for the blood Ah Zhu once used to save her life. With little time to mourn, Ah Zhu continues the battle, only to witness Ah Yan being struck by a sword. Gravely injured, Ah Yan staggers toward Qingyang, collapsing beside her.
Ah Yan takes Qingyang’s hand, whispering his wish that she could live freely and happily in her next life. Qingyang promises him, adding that she hopes he will be wealthy in his next life, so he won’t have to risk his life for a piece of gold. With her final breath, Qingyang dies in Ah Yan’s arms. Moments later, Ah Yan succumbs to his injuries, passing away by her side.
Zhao Ming Returns with the Jun Tian Sword
Zhao Ming arrives wielding the powerful Jun Tian Sword. Addressing the mob, he declares that if they do not disperse, sacrifices will end permanently by tomorrow. Intimidated, the rioters retreat. Ah Zhu, relieved to see Zhao Ming, runs to embrace him, tearfully admitting she failed to protect everyone. Zhao Ming reassures her that she has already done her best.
Back in the palace, Ah Zhu writes a marriage contract, urging Zhao Ming to sign it. When Zhao Ming questions her urgency, she explains that he is leaving tomorrow to confront the gods, and she wants them to marry before he departs. Zhao Ming insists on a proper betrothal gift and retrieves the jade ring Ah Zhu crafted for him, presenting it as his gift in return. He pours two cups of wine for a ceremonial toast, but Ah Zhu insists he sign the contract first, stating she won’t marry him without clarity.
Realizing the contract’s hidden intent, Zhao Ming secretly adds a sleeping potion to Ah Zhu’s wine. She drinks it and falls asleep. Zhao Ming places the contract and the Qian Kun Pearl beside her pillow, whispering for her to rest well, promising that everything will be better when she wakes.
The Final Confrontation
The next day, Zhao Ming ascends to the heavens, facing the Celestial Emperor. The Emperor accuses him of trespassing without summons, but Zhao Ming boldly declares, “If you cannot uphold the way of heaven, I will.” He vows to eradicate the gods and fulfill his lifelong wish to end their interference in the mortal world. Zhao Ming slays the gods and ultimately kills the Celestial Emperor. It is only in their final moments that the gods realize Zhao Ming is the divine child they have long sought.
Zhao Ming then confronts Tianming, where the surviving gods plead for Tianming to subdue him. Tianming complies, declaring Zhao Ming a fallen god and sentencing him to eternal imprisonment in the Abyss of Fire. Before his suppression, Zhao Ming disperses his divine power to the people of the world.
Ah Zhu’s Defiance
Ah Zhu awakens to find Zhao Ming gone. Distraught, she ascends to the heavens, confronting Tianming in anger. A fierce battle ensues. Ah Zhu accuses Tianming and the gods of failing to understand human emotions, praising Zhao Ming’s ultimate sacrifice as a testament to his righteousness. In despair, she casts herself into the mortal world.
Watching from afar, Mu Xuanling witnesses Ah Zhu’s actions. Determined to save the fallen Demon Lord, she opens the Tianming Book, seeking a way to bring Zhao Ming back.
