Xie Xuechen visits Gao Fengxu, who initially believes he’s there to attend Gao Qiumin’s birthday banquet. However, Xie clarifies that he’s not attending the banquet but has come to request a spirit slave. He asks Gao Fengxu to unlock the Soul Lock Ring. Gao Fengxu outwardly agrees and instructs Xie to wait in his room. After Xie leaves, Gao Fengxu orders his attendants to investigate which spirit slave Xie has chosen, noting that someone traveling such a distance for a spirit slave must possess extraordinary qualities.
Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling returns wearing new clothes, prompting the supervisor to suspect her of stealing from Gao Qiumin. The supervisor punishes Mu Xuanling, and at that moment, Sang Qi arrives. Unexpectedly, Sang Qi appears so quickly that Xie immediately begins searching for Mu Xuanling. In the courtyard, Xie finds Gao Qiumin dressed in Mu Xuanling’s clothes, initially mistaking him for Mu preparing to leave with her. However, upon hearing Gao Qiumin speak, Xie realizes it’s not Mu. Gao Qiumin explains that Gao Fengxu had her wear Mu Xuanling’s attire, forcing Mu to take her place and die. Recognizing Xie, Gao Qiumin suggests they escape together. Xie insists that sacrificing someone else is wrong and urges Gao Qiumin to leave immediately if they can escape.
Under a large tree, Xie finds Mu Xuanling and attempts to take her away. However, Gao Fengxu intercepts them, noticing that the patterns on Mu Xuanling’s face match those of the Chaos Pearl. Suspicious of a connection between Mu Xuanling and the Chaos Pearl, Gao Fengxu refuses to let Xie take her. Determined, Xie decides to confront Gao Fengxu directly. Knowing he cannot win through force, Xie destroys his inner core to combat Gao Fengxu. Ultimately, Xie dies in front of Mu Xuanling. Grief-stricken, Mu unleashes the chaos power within her, which enters Xie’s body.
At this moment, Sang Qi arrives intending to kill Mu Xuanling. However, seeing the change in her eyes, he reconsiders and offers to take her away, promising to make her stronger. Xie’s spirit watches desperately, shouting for Mu Xuanling not to leave with Sang Qi, but she cannot hear him and proceeds to follow Sang Qi. Xie witnesses his father arriving to take him back. Forced to return to his body, the Wheel Mirror God informs Xie that nothing has changed. Realizing his failure, Xie learns from the deity that there is still one more way.
Since Xie survived by receiving Mu Xuanling’s chaos power, the Wheel Mirror God explains that if Xie destroys his inner core, the chaos power will return to Mu Xuanling, reviving her, but Xie will perish completely. Upon hearing this, Xie smiles with relief, knowing that saving Mu Xuanling is worth his life. He immediately destroys his inner core, allowing the chaos power to flow back into Mu Xuanling. A fragment of Xie’s soul returns to Zhao Ming, finally freeing Zhao Ming from beneath the molten abyss.
Mu Xuanling awakens, seemingly aware of everything that transpired. She tells Xie that she wants to protect the human world on his behalf and that he should stay alone. As she regains consciousness, Nan Xuyue arrives, but Mu Xuanling immediately senses that he is not the real Nan Xuyue. He reveals himself to be the Supreme God Tianming. In Tianming’s eyes, Mu Xuanling is intrinsically linked to him as the Chaos Pearl they have guarded together for a century. Tianming takes Mu Xuanling to Yunxiu Manor and forcibly marries her, declaring that a marriage on the mortal realm signifies a binding lifelong commitment according to heavenly decree. Mu Xuanling resists, but Tianming insists that their endless journey together is all that matters.
