Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen cradles Mu Xuanling’s lifeless body, pleading for her to wake up. He reminds her how much she detests monotony, urging her to return so they can experience the world together. Carrying her in his arms, he prepares to leave. Suddenly, Zhaoming’s voice echoes, mocking Xie Xuechen’s perceived victory in ending the chaos and freezing the Void Sea. Xie Xuechen takes Mu Xuanling back to Yongxue City and places her on an ice bed, asking her to wait for him while he searches for a way to save her. Leaving Jun Tian, his weapon, by her side, he explains that it will alert him if she faces danger. Meanwhile, Feng Yao brings the injured Nan Xuyue to Yunxiu Manor. Despite Feng Yao’s attempt to transfer her spiritual energy to him, Nan Xuyue refuses, consumed by a desire for death.

When it finally does, he consumes the lotus and ascends to the God-Slaying Platform to meet the High God of the Wheel Mirror.
Facing the god, Xie Xuechen declares his intent to return to the moment before the Universal Formation was activated and change Mu Xuanling’s fate.
