Mo Li manipulates Fu Ling into capturing immortals and demons for him, offering her free access to Cold Spring Palace and threatening Zhong Zhao’s life. He releases Zhong Zhao but traps him behind a barrier, trying to sway Fu Ling into submission. Zhong Zhao, however, urges her to resist, recalling his ten years of torment as a fallen demon before regaining his identity as Bai Xi. He begs her not to repeat his mistakes. Enraged, Mo Li suppresses Zhong Zhao back into his consciousness.
Despite Xiu Yan’s prophecy that Xing Yue’s divine bow is in the Eastern Lands, Bai Shuo struggles to summon it. Fan Yue believes the bow has yet to awaken. Meanwhile, Tian Huo brings alarming news: Mo Li has attacked various immortal and demon sects, forcing many to flee to the Extreme Domain for refuge. To protect them, Fan Yue uses his Purple Moon power, drawing on his demon god essence to shield the domain.
Bai Shuo, understanding Fan Yue’s resolve, does not stop him. Instead, she prepares to stand by his side, ready to live and die together in their fight against Mo Li. The world once misunderstood Fan Yue as a cruel Haoyue Palace master, but Bai Shuo sees his true compassion. Fan Yue, however, disregards public opinion, focused only on stopping Mo Li from destroying the Eastern Lands.
Mo Li’s Ruthlessness Breaks the Barrier
Even with the Purple Moon shielding the immortals and demons, Mo Li turns his sights to the human race. He sacrifices thousands in a blood ritual, using their yang energy to shatter the yin-based Purple Moon barrier. Fu Ling tries to stop him but is captured and bound, while Fan Yue coughs blood from the strain of maintaining the barrier.
Fan Yue, Bai Shuo, and Tian Huo confront Mo Li, but during their battle, the power of Yin Xin causes the Sword of the Other King to break. Mo Li seizes the opportunity to attack Fan Yue, prompting Bai Shuo to instinctively shield him. Unexpectedly, Fu Ling sacrifices herself, intercepting Mo Li’s spear and dying to save Bai Shuo.
Fan Yue retreats with the group to the Unruly Tower in Ning’an City, where Bai Shuo desperately tries to save Fu Ling but fails. In her final moments, Fu Ling tells Bai Shuo to live well.
As her consciousness fades, Fu Ling dreams of a happy moment with her father Bai Xun and her sister Bai Shuo, eating dumplings together. She finally calls Bai Xun “Father,” fulfilling a long-held regret. The vision of a harmonious family brings her peace. When she dies, her body dissolves and transforms into Xing Yue’s divine bow, revealing that Fu Ling was the reincarnation of the bow’s spirit.
Mo Li’s Inner Turmoil and Zhong Zhao’s Struggle
Back at Cold Spring Palace, Mo Li returns in a daze, feeling an unfamiliar pain in his heart and shedding tears over Fu Ling’s death. Confused and angry at himself, he enters his consciousness, where Zhong Zhao confronts him. Zhong Zhao attempts to destroy himself to severely wound Mo Li, but Mo Li suppresses him once again.
In a vision within his consciousness, Zhong Zhao sees Fu Ling. Heartbroken, he blames himself for her death, but Fu Ling reassures him. She says the divine bow has no emotions and could live for thousands of years without understanding the world, but meeting him in this life made her sacrifice worthwhile. She dreams of being an ordinary couple with him in another life. In her final moment, she kisses Zhong Zhao, encouraging him to one day overcome Mo Li.
Bai Shuo Prepares for a Final Confrontation
Devastated by her sister’s death, Bai Shuo struggles to move forward. Fan Yue encourages her, reminding her that Fu Ling’s sacrifice wasn’t just the bow fulfilling its mission but also an act of sisterly protection. Suddenly, Fan Yue collapses. Tian Huo discovers that using the Purple Moon’s power, combined with the human blood ritual’s impact, has caused a violent clash of yin and yang energies in his body. Even with a divine physique, Fan Yue is at risk of having his meridians severed and dying.
Mo Li, now controlling the immortals and demons, sends a threat demanding Bai Shuo come to Cold Spring Palace. Tian Huo tries to hide the message, but Bai Shuo notices and decides to go alone. Before leaving, she sits by Fan Yue’s bedside, holding his hand. She admits she cannot escape her fate and asks Tian Huo to keep Fan Yue from following her to Cold Spring Palace.
Tian Huo warns her of the dangers ahead, but Bai Shuo accepts her responsibility. Before departing, she tells Tian Huo that if she survives, she hopes they can drink together again someday.
