After Bai Shuo’s self-destructive attack on Yin Xin, she loses the power of the Five Wills, and her meridians are severely damaged. Thankfully, the demon god Jing Yuan returns just in time to save her and personally heals her injuries. Meanwhile, in the Lanling Sect, the various clans reflect on the existence of divine beings. However, with both Zhong Zhao and Yin Xin taken away by Zhen Yu, fear arises that they might endanger the mortal world.
The Four Immortal Elders of Lanling take the lead in preparing a response, but the other sects express dissatisfaction, demanding accountability for Jin Yao’s death. Frustrated by their arguments, Beichen interrupts, pointing out how the sects have become self-serving over the years, each seeking to protect their own interests rather than working together. He highlights how the Lanling Sect has always borne the brunt of the challenges alone.
Nan Wan joins in, reminding everyone that the purpose of the immortal sects was originally to protect the world, but over time, they’ve become preoccupied with fame and fortune, shirking their duties. The words of the two young disciples cause the clans to reflect on their mistakes and resolve to unite against the impending crisis.
The Resurrection of Yin Zun Mo Li
Zhong Zhao awakens in Cold Spring Palace, trapped and unable to escape. Fu Ling rushes to rescue him but is struck unconscious by Zhen Yu. Zhen Yu sacrifices his heart to restore Yin Xin and forcibly uses Zhong Zhao’s body to resurrect Mo Li. With his mission complete, Zhen Yu dies without regrets. Upon his resurrection, Yin Zun Mo Li vows revenge on those who wronged him and promises to settle the score from 60,000 years ago.
The celestial phenomena caused by Mo Li’s resurrection alarm the immortals, who rush to protect the cities and their people despite the uncertainty ahead. Bai Shuo regains consciousness and, seeing Jing Yuan, instinctively calls out the name of her beloved. Only then do they both realize that Jing Yuan is not Fan Yue, and Bai Shuo is not Xing Yue.
Since Mo Li’s power rivals Jing Yuan’s, he warns Bai Shuo that to save Fu Ling, Zhong Zhao, and the mortal world, they must first retrieve Xing Yue’s divine bow. At the same time, Fu Ling recognizes that Mo Li is no longer Zhong Zhao. Mo Li confirms that Zhong Zhao isn’t dead but is instead trapped in the deepest recesses of his consciousness.
Mo Li’s Rampage in the Eastern Lands
Mo Li travels to the summit of the Eastern Lands, using the Zhaotian Mirror to absorb the power of both immortals and demons, pushing the region to the brink of destruction. Zhong Zhao attempts to resist but is unable to break free from Mo Li’s control and is knocked unconscious again. When the Lanling Sect learns of this, they issue a call to arms against Yin Zun, but Mo Li retaliates with a surprise attack.
Mo Li captures the Four Immortal Elders of Lanling and takes them to Cold Spring Palace, where he kills Jing Lei for his resistance, leaving the remaining three elders in grief. Mo Li warns them that even without Xing Yue’s divine bow, he is unafraid of either Xing Yue or Jing Yuan. He promises to make everyone pay for their past mistakes.
Fu Ling attempts to ambush Mo Li, stabbing his palm with a dagger. While surprised by her boldness, he spares her life because she is Bai Shuo’s sister. Mo Li declares that his return isn’t just about dominating the world but also about marrying Xing Yue, with Fu Ling as the perfect witness to this event.
A Ray of Hope in the Face of Despair
Tian Huo discovers that the Sword of the Other King was crafted from the same material as Xing Yue’s divine arrows, but the bow itself remains elusive. Determined to wield the bow and kill Mo Li, Bai Shuo tirelessly practices archery. Jing Yuan gently tends to her injuries after training, stirring complex feelings within her. Bai Shuo expresses gratitude for his help but admits she cannot see him as Fan Yue.
Reflecting on Bai Shuo’s words, Jing Yuan acknowledges that even though Bai Shuo possesses Xing Yue’s divine essence, she is not the goddess he once loved. Jing Yuan ultimately decides to transfer his demon god power to Fan Yue, entrusting him with Bai Shuo’s protection.
As Jing Yuan’s consciousness fades, Fan Yue’s returns to his body. Overcome with emotion, he rushes to Bai Shuo, and the two embrace tightly. They hold onto hope that Jing Yuan and Bai Shuo will reunite one day under the countless stars.
