Mu Yao and Liu Fuyi set aside their magical tools to save Ling Miaomiao, but although they were monster hunters, setting aside their tools left them as powerless ordinary people. As the mirror demon was preparing to go on a killing spree, a dazzling sword intent suddenly appeared before their eyes. After a flurry of swordsmanship, Ling Miaomiao saw the second male lead from the novel—the sickly yet ruthless Black Lotus, Mu Sheng, Mu Yao’s brother. Mu Sheng ignored the mirror demon’s threats and, with swift sword strikes, destroyed the mirror demon. In an instant, everyone returned to the real world.
Mu Sheng intended to kill the mirror demon, but Liu Fuyi advised that they could imprison it in the Monster Catching Tower. However, Mu Sheng, being a sister-protecting maniac, refused to listen. Fortunately, Mu Yao felt unwell, which diverted his attention, giving Liu Fuyi time to imprison her in the tower.
