To mend the strained relationship between father and son, A-Zhen invites her eldest son, Xu Junhao, home to have a proper talk with Xu Zhiqiang. Xu Junhao admits he acted impulsively when announcing his marriage without informing the family first. He understands that his father wanted him to plan the wedding properly, but he and his fiancée value their feelings and commitment over formalities.
However, Xu Zhiqiang remains upset and struggles to understand his son’s perspective. Xu Junhao feels his father has been so consumed with running the Zhenqiang Restaurant that he hasn’t paid attention to him or considered retiring to enjoy life. The conversation ends abruptly when Xu Junhao mentions selling the restaurant, angering Xu Zhiqiang.
A-Zhen calls Xu Junle to inform him about the argument, which escalated from the wedding to the restaurant’s management. The father and son parted on bad terms. After resolving work issues, Mai Youge takes Xu Junle to a lakeside for a heart-to-heart. Xu Junle acknowledges he’s the most suitable candidate to take over Zhenqiang Restaurant but is worried about his ability to manage it and fears ruining his father’s hard work. Mai Youge reassures him, boosting his confidence and offering comfort.
Not long after, CEO Tong receives feedback from Mai Youge and immediately flies to Macau to meet Xu Junhao at Xinghao Hotel. On behalf of the company, he apologizes for the recent issues and proposes a solution. Mai Youge remains in charge of the promotional shoot, while Client Manager Wu Anmei is reassigned to Beijing.
Xu Junle encourages Xu Junhao to speak with their father again, advising him not to be too forceful since their father is old and set in his ways. Following Xu Junle’s suggestion, Xu Junhao visits Zhenqiang Restaurant, which he hasn’t stepped into in years. He has a heart-to-heart with Xu Zhiqiang, expressing long-held grievances. Initially, Xu Zhiqiang defends himself stubbornly, but as Xu Junhao speaks, he begins to see his son’s point. He realizes that he has been driving the family forward with the restaurant for too long and perhaps it’s time to slow down.
Though Xu Zhiqiang doesn’t openly admit his agreement, Xu Junhao feels relieved to have voiced his thoughts, as Xu Junle suggested. The conversation doesn’t resolve everything, but it brings much-needed emotional relief.
On a flight from Beijing to Macau, Professor Xu Jianming and his new wife, Li Meng, run into his ex-wife, Tang Wei. Both couples are traveling to Macau to visit their daughter, Xu Jiajia. The encounter is awkward, as Li Meng is one of Xu Jianming’s former students. During the flight, Xu Jianming tries to chat with Tang Wei about their daughter, but her responses are curt. To avoid further awkwardness, Tang Wei switches seats with Li Meng.
Thanks to Xu Junle’s help, Mai Youge’s filming progresses smoothly, lifting her spirits. Later, Xu Junle visits Zhenqiang Restaurant and asks Xu Zhiqiang to teach him how to cook. He earnestly learns in the kitchen, touching Xu Zhiqiang, who sees the growth and maturity in his children. He feels a mix of pride and guilt, realizing how much they’ve changed.
