Youku’s newest xianxia drama, Love in the Clouds, has wrapped up filming after nearly four months. To celebrate this achievement, the production team released special posters featuring the show’s two main actors, Hou Minghao and Lu Yuxiao.
In the posters, Hou and Lu appear strong and united, showcasing their powerful on-screen chemistry. Fans can look forward to intense and captivating storylines as the characters navigate conflicts in Love in the Clouds.
The drama will consist of 40 episodes. After filming, it will move into post-production and is set to air either at the end of this year or early in 2026.
Love in the Clouds is a romantic xianxia series based on the novel Ru Qing Yun by Bai Lu Cheng Shuang. The story follows Ming Yi (played by Lu Yuxiao), a fierce and beautiful war goddess who is poisoned. To find an antidote, she is reborn and disguises herself as a gentle dancer. She then tries to trap Ji Bozai (played by Hou Minghao), a carefree young poison expert, in a love scheme.
However, Ji Bozai also hides his true identity as a poison master. Both characters use fake personas, leading to a game of deception and intrigue. As they interact, Ming Yi and Ji Bozai uncover unexpected secrets, deepening their connection and the story’s complexity.
