After finishing work on Love on the Turquoise Land with Dilraba Dilmurat, actor Chen Xingxu has now started filming the new Tencent drama A Sudden Love. The production’s opening ceremony took place on December 15, marking the beginning of a unique urban fantasy romance adapted from the novel Zai Jian Ye You Shu by Zhang Xiaoxian.
This upcoming drama pairs Chen Xingxu with actress Wang Yuwen, who is known for her performances in romantic series like Once We Get Married, The Love You Give Me, and You Are My Lover Friend. Alongside them, the cast also includes Ma Sichao, Zeng Mengxue, Yu Xiang, and Di Ran.
A Sudden Love follows the story of Gao Haiming (played by Chen Xingxu) and Lin Huaner (played by Wang Yuwen). Their relationship is filled with misunderstandings, heartache, and questions about true loyalty. Lin Huaner’s unexpected gift—a fighter jet known as the “Wild Weasel”—makes Gao Haiming believe she cares for him. Yet beneath the surface, Lin Huaner’s heart belongs to someone else for a long decade, leaving Gao Haiming longing for a love he cannot claim.
This drama promises a heartfelt look at love’s most painful edges—where affection can feel like a sweet poison.
