After completing filming in mid-2023, Tencent’s latest costume drama, Everlasting Longing, finally aired on January 20, 2025. The 30-episode series stars popular actors Angelababy and Song Weilong in leading roles, supported by actors Ren Hao, Bai Bingke, and Yao Chi, among others.
Directed by Mai Guanzhi, known for directing Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Yue Hong and The Rise of Ning, Everlasting Longing is adapted from the well-loved novel Qiang Lai De Xin Niang. The drama follows the life of Jun Qiluo, portrayed by Angelababy, a successful businesswoman who also lives a secret life as Jun Feifan, her family’s illegitimate child.
At the age of 20, Jun Feifan is taken to the distant land of Beixuan, where he faces betrayal, persecution, and false accusations of being a spy. After managing to escape, he discovers that his family’s fortune has been stolen. Determined to restore his family’s legacy, Jun Feifan works tirelessly to rebuild the family business while safeguarding those he cares about.
Song Weilong plays Xuan Lie, a leader from an enemy country who kidnaps Jun Qiluo. Their initial conflict, marked by clever strategies and tension, slowly evolves into a complicated relationship filled with deep emotions.
