The pavilion master revealed that out of the survivors from Starfall Valley, five people remained alive, believing they might know the Chaos Pearl’s whereabouts. Unable to get any answers from Sang Qi, he decided to find the others.
Nan Xuyue, busy painting, was interrupted by Feng Yao, who asked how he could be so calm when the barrier of the Myriad Immortal Array had already been breached. Nan Xuyue replied that he had his own plans. Xie Xuechen, heading to the barrier, encountered Mu Xuanling, and the two arrived together. Realizing their combined strength might not suffice, Mu Xuanling suggested that Xie Xuechen attempt repairs while she sought help from her master, Sang Qi. Although concerned for her safety, Xie Xuechen trusted her judgment, and Mu Xuanling reassured him that Sang Qi wouldn’t harm her.
When Mu Xuanling confronted Sang Qi, she explained that the dark clans of the Dark Domain were planning to break out of the Myriad Immortal Realm into the human world. She asked Sang Qi for a solution. Sang Qi pointed out that the dark clans only respected strength and reminded her of this harsh truth. When Sang Qi asked if she feared he might harm her, Mu Xuanling replied that Sang Qi was the only person who had ever made her feel familial affection, and she believed he felt the same about her. Deeply moved, Sang Qi embraced Mu Xuanling, expressing his happiness at her words. He then took out his inner core and gave it to her.
Sang Qi admitted that his life had been fraught with mistakes and he could no longer turn back. By giving Mu Xuanling his inner core, he hoped to give her a choice. He reflected on the first time he met Mu Xuanling and how she reminded him of himself. In his heart, he imagined that if he and Su Ningxi had a child, they might look just like her. In fact, Sang Qi had been the one to name Mu Xuanling. After transferring his inner core to her, Mu Xuanling fainted. Sang Qi then took Su Ningxi to a place they once dreamed of escaping to together. As he reminisced about their first meeting—when a wounded Sang Qi was saved by Su Ningxi’s kindness—he realized how much hatred had led him astray. Finally, Sang Qi resolved to let go of everything and left with Su Ningxi in his arms.
When Mu Xuanling woke up, she thought of Sang Qi but reminded herself there was no time for grief. She had more important matters to handle. She joined Xie Xuechen at the Void Sea, and their mutual understanding led them to the same conclusion: freezing the Void Sea might stop the dark clans from escaping. The dark clans’ war shadows had already sensed the cracks in the Myriad Immortal Realm and were preparing to break out.
Elsewhere, Jiang Li—also known as Fu Cangli, Abao’s father—arrived at Bixiao Palace. He released all the spirit clans within, urging them to coordinate with those outside to destroy the palace. Duan Xiaorong and Fu Yuanting were injured during the conflict, but Fu Lansheng arrived in time to rescue them and hide them in the dungeon. However, Jiang Li pursued them, accusing Fu Yuanting of killing his father to seize power. Duan Xiaorong revealed the truth: Jiang Li’s father had tried to kill Fu Yuanting but was stopped by his grandfather, who killed Jiang Li’s father instead. She added that Fu Yuanting had forbidden her from revealing this secret.
At this moment, Abao appeared. Jiang Li urged her to join him, but she retorted that Jiang Li was not her father, as her true father would never be such a cruel person.
Back at the Void Sea, Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen used Sang Qi’s inner core to freeze the sea. Just as they were about to leave, they heard the mysterious voice again.
