Earlier today, the production team for Invincible Swordsman (笑傲江湖) shared new character posters and short clips. This film premieres on January 28, 2025 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) on iQiyi, Tencent, and Youku.
Produced by Wong Jing and Wu Yue and directed by Luo Yiwei, Invincible Swordsman stars Zhang Yuqi as Dongfang Bubai and Huang Xiyan as Linghu Chong. Based on Jin Yong’s novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, it follows Linghu Chong, who tries to leave the martial arts world but is pulled back in. He faces tensions between good and evil while crossing paths with Dongfang Bubai, the leader of the “evil cult.” Sammo Hung makes a guest appearance, and Yin Ziwei, Xuan Lu, Yun Qianqian, Zhang Lu, and Cai Xiangyu also appear.
These fresh posters show each character’s style, and the short clips hint at fierce battles. Fans can’t wait to see how this classic story unfolds on screen.
