Dylan Wang, also known as Wang Hedi, is set to return in a bold new project, Guardians of the Dafeng, premiering on December 28. Fresh off his role in Only For Love (2023), Dylan promises to bring audiences a vibrant mix of action, romance, and comedy. This is his first big male-centric drama since Love Between Fairy and Devil, the show that propelled him to fame.
In Guardians of the Dafeng, he teams up with Tian Xiwei, taking the top spot as the leading actor. Many viewers see this drama as Dylan Wang’s bet and proof of his strength as a top actor in the 1995 generation. Adapted from the novel Da Feng Da Geng Ren by Mai Bao Xiao Lang Jun, the drama has 40 episodes. Dylan Wang plays Yang Ling, a modern worker who suddenly wakes up in an ancient dynasty as the city guard Xu Qi’an. In this unfamiliar world of Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, demons, and witches, he realizes he is stuck in prison and faces banishment to the city’s outskirts.
However, fate changes when Xu Qi’an is appointed as a night guard in Dafeng City—an area plagued by strange and dangerous events. Armed with his modern thinking, he works tirelessly to protect the city and solve mysterious cases. Through Guardians of the Dafeng, Dylan Wang aims to show how far he has come, proving his acting skills to those who still doubt him.
